Schlitz PIANALE Akademisi Masterclassları – 1. Gün

Almanya’dayım!

Almanya’nın Hessen eyaletinin Schlitz kentindeki Landesmusikakademie’de (Schlitz Bölge Müzik Akademisi) organize edilen PIANALE Akademisi kapsamında her yaz onlarca öğrencinin katıldığı masterclasslar düzenliyor. Bu senekine ben de katıldım.

I’m in Germany! PIANALE Academy takes place in Landesmusikakademie (Local Music Academy) in Schlitz which is a small town in Hessen state. They organize a series of masterclasses every summer. This year, I have participated as well.

Kampüsün çok binası var, ancak biz şu anda sadece iki binayı kullanıyoruz. Biri üstte de gördüğünüz Schloss Hallenburg, burası derslerin yapıldığı bina. Günümüzün çoğu burada geçiyor, çünkü çalışma odaları da bu binada. Karşı binada da kaldığımız odalar bulunuyor. İki veya üç kişi kalınan odalar ideal büyüklüklerde. Yemekhane de bu binada yer alıyor. Organizasyona üç öğün yemek dahil, hatta akşam konserlere giderseniz yemeği kaçırmamanız için kumanya veriliyor. Kısaca herşey dahil bir otelde masterclass yapmak gibi bir şey, sadece tek yapmanız gereken dakik olmak.

The campus has multiple buildings, but we are only using two of them. The main building is the one you see at the top, called Schloss Hallenburg. We spend most of our time here, because the practice rooms are here too. At the opposite of Schloss Hallenburg, is the building where our rooms are at. We stay at the rooms with one or two roommates, and the rooms are big enough to fit three people in them. The restaurant is in this building too. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included too, so it’s like being in a five star hotel while studying with masters, only thing is that you have to always be on time.

Masterclasslar yaş gruplarına göre ikiye ayrılıyor. 14-18 yaş arasındakiler Grigory Gruzman ve William Fong ile çalışırken 18-30 yaş arasındakiler Akiko Ebi, Joaquin Soriano, Erik Tawaststjerna, Uta Weyand, Justas Dvarionas, Jay Gottlieb, Jun Kanno ve Friedemann Rieger ile çalışıyor. Junior grubundakiler isterlerse belli bir ücret karşılığında diğer hocalarla da çalışabiliyor. Ben ek olarak Uta Weyand ile çalışacağım.

Masterclasses are divided into two age groups. 14-18 age group studies with Grigory Gruzman and William Fong, while the 18-30 age group can study with Akiko Ebi, Joaquin Soriano, Erik Tawaststjerna, Uta Weyand, Justas Dvarionas, Jay Gottlieb, Jun Kanno and Friedemann Rieger. However, junior students can also study with other teachers too if they pay a certain amount. I will be additionally studying with Uta Weyand.

Çalışma odalarındaki piyanoların içinde nemi emen bir cihaz var. Böylece Almanya’nın nemli günlerinde piyanolara zara gelmiyor.| There is a moisture absorbing device inside the pianos of the practicing rooms, so the piano will not get harmed by the moisture.

Sabahları isteğe bağlı bir dil dersi oluyor, isteyenler ingilizce veya almancalarını geliştirebiliyorlar. Kahvaltıdan sonra Almanca dersine girdim, daha sonra çalışmak için yukarı çıktım. Bugün dersim yoktu, ancak yarın Grigory Gruzman ile bir dersim olacak, yarından sonra da Uta Weyand ve Gruzman ile olacak, akşam da  konser olacak. Şu anda ilk konserde Chopin Etüd Op. 25 No. 1, Rachmaninoff Prelude Op. 32 No. 12, Ravel Sonatin’in ikinci bölümü (Mouvement de Menuet) ve Saygun’dan Aksak Etüd Op. 38 No. 5 çalmayı planlıyorum.

In the morning there’s an optional language class. The students can improve their English or German here. After the breakfast I went to the German class, then switched to the other building to practice. I didn’t have a lesson today, but tomorrow I will study with Grigory Gruzman, and the other day I have lessons with Uta Weyand and Gregory Gruzman, also there’s the first concert that night too. I plan on playing Chopin Etude Op. 25 No. 1, Rachmaninoff Prelude Op. 32 No. 12, Ravel Sonatine 2nd movement (Mouvement de Menuet) and Turkish composer Adnan Saygun’s “Aksak Etude” Op. 38 No. 5 in the concert. The jury will decide who will play in the second concert.

Akşam yemeğinden önce Schlitz Belediye Başkanı Hans-Jürgen Schäfer’ın davetiyle Schlitz Kale Müzesi’nin (Burgmuseum) en üst katında bir resepsiyona gittik. Başkan karşılama konuşması yaptıktan sonra önümüzdeki kitap ve dosyaya dikkat çekti. Kitap Schlitz’in tarihini anlatıyordu. Dosyada ise şehri tanıtan çeşitli broşürler vardı. İçeceklerimizi içtikten sonra akşam yemeği yemek için geri döndük.

Before the dinner we went to a reception, Schlitz Mayor Hans-Jürgen Schäfer had invited us to Schlitz Castle Museum (Burgmuseum). After the welcoming speech, he told us to pay attention to the book and folder in front of us. The book was about the history of Schlitz, and in the folder there were various booklets featuring Schlitz. After drinking our beverages we went back to Schloss Hallenburg to have dinner.
