Bana gelen mesajlardan ve maillerden anladığım kadarıyla şu anda Ayvalık’ta olduğumu düşünüyorsunuz, ancak aslında bloğumda yazdıklarım Ayvalık’ta masterclass sırasında aldığım notların blog yazısı halinde düzenlenmiş halleri. Üç ve beşinci günlerde aldığım notların kısalığından dolayı ikisini de dördüncü gün ile birlikte yayınlamayı daha uygun buldum.
As I can understand from the messages and mails I recently received, people assume that I’m at Ayvalık now, actually these posts are the edited versions of the notes I took at the masterclass. Third fourth and fifth days were too short for an individual post, so I decided to publish them together with fourth day.
3. Gün | 3rd Day
Bugün AIMA İdil Biret piyano masterclassının üçüncü günüydü. Ben bugün İdil hocayla çalışmadım, çalışmalar gün aşırı yapılıyor, ancak dinlemek de çalışmak kadar önemli.
Today was the third day of the masterclass. My lesson is tomorrow, but listening to other people is as important as studying.
4. Gün | 4th Day
Bugün İdil hoca ile ikinci dersimi yaptım ve Chopin Waltz (op 34 no 2) ve Nocturne (op 9 no 2) çalıştık. Waltz’i müzikal açıdan beğenip konserde kesin olarak bunu çalmamı söyledi.
Today I had my second lesson with İdil Biret and we studied Chopin Waltz (op 34 no 2) and Nocturne (op 9 no 2). She told me my musicality has gone better in the Waltz since last lesson, and she also told me to play it at the concert.
Akşam yine bir AIMA klasiği olan bahçe partimiz oldu. Her sene olduğu gibi dolu dolu sohbet ettik,
In the evening there was the Garden Party. We chatted just like we did in past years,

We had dinner together, just like we did in past years,
ve doğum günümü kutladık.
and celebrated my birthday.
En sonunda topluca İdil Biret’in yeni belgeseli “Bir harika çocuğun portresi”ni izledik. İzledikten sonra gözleri yaşaranlar olmuştu (ben dahil). Neden derseniz belgeselin bitiminde içeriden piyano sesleri geldiğini farkettik, İdil hocanın çalışmasının sesiydi bu gelen. Farkettik ki zaten bu deha ile günlerdir çalışıyoruz.
Near the end of night, we watched İdil Biret’s new documentary “Portrait of a child prodigy”. After the documentary finished, there were people with their eyes filled with tears (including myself). If you ask why, the reason is that when the documentary finished, we realized the piano sound coming from the room, it was İdil Biret studying. We realized that we were already studying with this genius pianist for days.
5. Gün | 5th Day
Bugün boş günümüzdü, kimsenin dersi yoktu, biz de hep beraber denize gitmeye geziye çıktık!
Today it was our day off, so we went to swim together!
Yarın dersler tekrar başlıyor, bugün tatil yapmış olsak bile yarın hemen çalışmaya devam!
Tomorrow the lessons start, so although we were free today, tomorrow we’ll go back to studying!
