🇬🇧I’ve played this piece many times in the last few years, and here’s a recording which I finally found good enough to post! I’m happy because I really really like this piece; how it’s written to be fragile and unsure of itself in purpose. “Noctuelles” (Moths) describes the unstable flights of moths in the lonely and quiet nights; uneven flapping of their wings and their constant collisions. What better way to start off the gorgeous 5-piece Miroirs album than this!
🇹🇷Bu eseri son yıllarda pek çok kez çaldım ve dünkü performansımı paylaşmaya değer bulabildiğim için çok mutluyum. Ravel’in bu eserini özellikle kırılgan ve kendine güvensiz duyulacak şekilde yazmış olması gerçekten çok hoşuma gidiyor. Güveler anlamına gelen “Noctuelles” güvelerin suskun gecelerde eşitsiz kanat çırpıntılarını, oraya buraya çarpa çarpa kararsız uçuş şekillerini anlatıyor. 5 eserlik müthiş Miroirs albümüne giriş parçası olarak daha iyi bir fikir olamazdı!
